What is a webring?
Traditionally, a webring is a collection of similarly themed websites that have been linked together in a circular way, usually with a button that is present on each website. You can see an example of that with the 'Webring of Suok' OnionRing.
Nowadays, a webring can also refer to a page (or a section of a page) with links to sites run by different people. These people can be your friends, people you've worked with on a project, or they can simply be strangers with cool websites. The circularity is optional, so it's more like a curated list.
What will you find on this webring?
You can find a way to link back to this website (archive.maxbanshees.com) with a 88x31 pixel web button in the first section. You can view a gallery about this internet tradition from the 90s here.
You can also find webrings I'm a part of. These webrings are run by other people.
Towards the end, you'll find a list of sites that I think are cool. Most of them are artists, writers, comic makers, people interested in Pathologic, and my friends.
When was this webring last updated?
